The first time that I step into Carousel is in November 2008 after my GCEO Levels. It is located on Royal Plaza on Scotts Hotel , 25 Scotts Road. The price for entry into this lavish restaurant buffet is $46 for adults on weekdays for lunch , and $50 for adults on weekends for lunch. But with that amount payed for your entry, it sure is very much worth its price! The place is huge with a wide variety of food to choose from!

If you would like to know more details regarding the Carousel, do visit this website.
http://dining.royalplaza.com.sg/

It has all the information you need. There is even a sample menu of the food that can be found there! Im sure you will not regret your visit to the Carousel. Fresh seafood, Desserts, Rotisserie roast chicken, beef and lamb, salads, cheeses, asian delights, sushi, sashimi, you name it!

There is this particular blog that I came across.
http://www.eatdrinknbemerry.com/2011/01/carousel-royal-plaza-on-scotts.html
The author of that blog is a  food adventurer who tries many types of food and then blogs about his experience and the rating of the food. And, in that blog post, the author tells us more about how we could get to the Royal Plaza on Scotts, where it is located. He also mentioned about the food that he tried and how is the taste and quality of the food there. I personally believe that the author gave his most honest comments about his experience there and wasn't biased at any point of time. He even recommended some dishes for others to try.

Buffetllicious!

This is a picture of my pet cat Ash, trying to have some of my Thosai!

Last year, there was this programme called "Buffetlicious" on Mediacorp Channel 5. Its a programme that shows all types of buffets, from lavish to affordable ones, from high end restaurants in hotels to dining with the animals at the Singapore Zoological Gardens..

It was my favourite show at that point of time. Everytime the show is on, I will find myself drooling over the delicious food that are being shown. Wah.... Usually when I have the crave for some kind of food in the middle of the night, I would go to xinmsn.com and I would watch the episodes of "Buffetlicious" on Catch Up TV.
But since the programme was about a year ago, it couldn't be found on the website anymore. So I provided this link of a malay food programme called "Makan Boomz". It's a programme where the hosts go around singapore to find the best of the best dishes.
Also, as I also have the passion to cook, I love watching those episodes over and over again, just to get some inspiration for new recipes that I would try out by myself.
There is another website that I am a fan of. This website has easy-to-follow recipes which is good for those who just started cooking. This link features the recipe for a Quickie Grilled Salmon. The author of the website also tells us about her experience in cooking that particular dish and the substitutes that can be used if you don't have that particular ingredient.

First Post!

Hey Hey Hey!
This is my very first post for this newly created blog. Its been long since I've blogged so I am still getting used to all these stuff. Haha! Basically, this blog is for me to post about my thoughts, opinions and feelings regarding the two most favourite things in my life, which is Food and Dance! (Well, of course I do have some other favourite things, but Oh well! =P )

Butter Cereal Sotong

Thai Style Chicken

Seafood Marinara

Sliced Beef Sandwich

Pepperoni Pizza

Botak's Favourites Burger

A little something about me is that.. I just love trying out new kinds of food. And simply just indulging in them. You name it, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, anything! The flavours and wonders of each kind of food exploding in your mouth, its simply fantastic! The most lavish kind of restaurant that I have been to is The Carousel at Royal Plaza on Scotts Hotel in Singapore. Simply splendid! It offers a wide variety buffet offering mouth delectable items ranging from fresh seafood to meat and poulty served on a rotisserie!
Another little something about me is that, I have a passion for dancing. I have been dancing eversince I could walk, but of course, the serious stuff began when I stepped into Secondary School.

Before entering my Secondary School, I went to their CCA Open House and there was a performance by the International Dance Club dancers. I was blown away by their rock and roll dance piece and from that moment on, I knew I had to get into that school and definitely into International Dance Club.

And so I did! For my 4 years of Secondary School life, I have gone through intensive training of all sorts of dancing. I performed dances such as Latin, Hip Hop, Bhangra and African Jazz.
My all time favourite dance programme would have to be So You Think You Can Dance. I have been watching it ever since its first season. And right now, it is already their 8th season! This programme showcases tha many dance forms.. Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Bollywood and much much more! Here are links to my favourite videos.

The first one is a Hip Hop piece from Lauren and Twitch. Lauren was the winner for that season, which is season 7. And Twitch was the 2nd runner up from season 4. This is an amazing dance piece because it shows how flexible one can be with a given dance style that they have to perform. And Lauren is actually a dancer with a contemporary background but in this dance piece, she performs a hip hop number. Absolutely amazing!

The second video is also a hip hop dance piece. Jeanine is the winner of that season, which is season 5. And Philip did'nt get to be in the 2nd or 3rd position but he was amazing anyway. Like Lauren, Jeanine also has a background in contemporary dancing and thus, this video shows how a person can be so emotional and be so into the dance piece which they are not familiar with.
